Police were called to deal with a group of young people with an “imitation firearm”.
Several police vehicles converged outside McDonalds in Bolton town centre on Friday evening, February 3.
Witnesses described two liveried and one unmarked police car and around six or seven officers who were spotted speaking to a group of youths.
A spokesperson for GMP said: "Police were called to Deansgate, Bolton at around 5pm on Friday February 3, 2023, following reports of a group of juveniles with an imitation firearm on nearby CCTV.

"Officers quickly attended and a suspected BB gun was recovered.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
"Police believe this to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the community."
