Police command are busy addressing some shocking recruitment and management issues and yet some matters stand out as every day policing continues:
- The officers in Bolton town centre late evening who take a coffee to a homeless man who sleeps out despite offers of a bed.
- The officers who despise the ‘toe rags’ who target elderly people and harm the elderly - they go above and beyond to find those criminals.
- The officers in Bolton who offer to lay the bricks in their free time if more jail cells could be built - Sure prison does not solve all the crime problems but it takes the worst off the streets.
- Every single officer who puts ‘the uniform on’ (some wear plain clothes of course) and risk their lives every single day in the exercise of their duty.
- The command officers who put their heads on their pillows, mind checking ‘did I do right by all of my officers today.
Let’s not forget all the families who are proud their kith and kin choose to serve every day in the force.
