Bolton boxer Amir Khan walked around his hometown with football legend Gary Neville in an episode of his new series.
The retired boxer was seen outside Le Mans Crescent during an episode of Meet The Khans: Big In Bolton, in which he was speaking to former Manchester United defender Neville, who is now a pundit on Sky Sports.
On episode four of the new series, Amir heads to wn to meet the England international for his Overlap podcast, where he joked immediately that the ex-boxer was 26 minutes late.
Amir said: “Gary Neville was one of the top footballers in the UK.
“It’ll be nice to share some things with him and talk about the ups and downs in sport.”
The filming crew stood outside our former news office as Neville threw Amir some quickfire questions.
During filming, fans rushed up to the star and asked for pictures, as Amir happily obliged.
He said: “It’s nice to walk the streets and have fans come up to you, especially people from Bolton say 'hi' to you and take pictures with you and that’s Bolton for you, everyone here is loving and caring and all one.”
Amir and Neville also make a visit to Ye Olde Pastie Shoppe, owned by Marie Walsh.
Marie has known the Neville family for a number of years and saw Gary grow up and said as youngster he would come in to pick up some items to take to Bury Football Club for games where he would pass them on to celebrities at half time.
Amir had a cheese pasty while Neville had meat and potato.
Marie said previously: “They just rang us and said he was doing a podcast.
“Gary has been coming here since he was a little boy.”
