The door of a dessert parlour is boarded up today after a suspected arson attack.
Investigations are still on going into the fire which broke out in the early hours of Monday, leading police to put a large cordon in place.
The building is empty but there is significant damage inside to booths and tables.
Fire and police were called to Heavenly Desserts in Deansgate just before 1.30am.
Three fire crews from Bolton Central and Bolton North were mobilised, and police were called after a fire broke out.
One door was smashed, and another door was set on fire.
When fire attended the scene, sprinklers had extinguished the blaze but there was flooding within the restaurant which was then dealt with by the firefighters.
Greater Manchester Police are continuing to ask members of the public with any information to call 101 quoting log 132 of 23/01/2023.
The luxury confectionery diner opened in 2019.
