A man has been arrested on a busy main road after a man was attacked yesterday evening, Friday.
Police were called to Deane Road, Bolton, at around 5pm after reports that a large group of people assaulted a man.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing and police say an investigation is ongoing.
Police and the North West Ambulance Service attended the incident on the main road between Cannon Street and Salisbury Street.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At approximately 5pm yesterday evening (Friday), officers were called to reports of a large group of males assaulting a man on Deane Road in Bolton.
"A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a section 18 assault.
"The injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing.
"The investigation is ongoing."
