We've rounded up a number of Bolton cases heard by magistrates recently - read on to find out who's been in the dock.
Thefts
A man was given a conditional discharge after committing several thefts in Bolton.
Michael John Ward, 46 of Manchester Road, Bolton, admitted to Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court that he had stolen four bottles of Prosecco from Morrison s on January 13.
A day earlier he had stolen £135 worth of clothes from Next.
Ward was given a 12-month conditional discharge.
Driving without licence
A man was ordered to pay after driving without a licence in Bolton.
Tasser Ahmed, 59 of Bury New Road, admitted to Bolton Magistrates Court that he had driven on the M61 in a Volkswagen Crafter on January 20 last year without a proper licence.
He was ordered to pay a total of £215.
Damaging police cell
A woman was fined and given a community order after assaulting police officers and damaging a police cell.
Berfin Aksoy, aged 22 and of Lanford Gardens, Bolton admitted to Bolton Magistrates Court that she had assaulted two officers on March 3 last year.
That same day she caused £50 worth of damage to a police cell.
Aksoy was ordered to pay a total of £180 and was given a community order requiring her to complete 60 hours of unpaid work, 12 rehabilitation activity requirement.
She will also have to complete a nine month mental health treatment programme.
Drink driving
A man has been banned from the roads after drink driving.
Michael Bryan, 41 of Edinburgh Road, Little Lever, admitted to Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court that he had driven on Bury New Road, Bury on September 19 last year while over the legal limit for alcohol.
He was fined £1,000, banned from driving for 36 months and ordered to complete 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
Legal limit
A drink driver was fined after travelling above the legal limit for alcohol.
Somtobenna Okeke, 46 of Bond Close, Horwich admitted to driving over the legal limit on Chorley Old Road on June 3 last year to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court.
Okeke was banned from the roads for six months and ordered to pay £161.
Stealing from shop
A man was given a curfew after stealing from a shop.
Sajjid Latif, 48 of Derby Street, Bolton, admitted to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court that he had stolen five steaks from Lidl of January 13 this year.
He was given a four-week curfew, keeping him at his home between 7pm and midnight.
Knife
A woman was given a suspended sentence after assaulting another woman, sending racially offensive texts and carrying a knife in a public place.
Alice Kotrmanova, 19 of Deansgate, Bolton, admitted to Bolton Magistrates Court that she had been carrying the knife on Bond Street, Bury on August 14 last year.
That same day she also assaulted a woman in Bury.
The next month, on September 21 she sent racially aggravated offensive text messages to another woman.
Kotrmanova was given a sentence of 26 weeks suspended for 18 months.
She was also ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and to pay a total of £454.
Identity
A man was ordered to pay more than £1,000 after failing to identify a driver for police.
Mohammed Hashemi, 54 of Oakley Park, Bolton, was guilty at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court to failing to identify a BMW driver for police on November 10 2021.
He had pleaded not guilty but was convicted by the court and ordered to pay a total of £1,290.
