Another cannabis farm has been discovered in Bolton town centre.

Police raided premises on Bath Street and more than 100 cannabis plants were seized.

A man was arrested, say police who added they received a tip off.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police's Bolton South neighbourhood team said: “The town centre and Great Lever Neighbourhood policing team have executed a drugs warrant on Bolton town centre today actioned through local intelligence.

“110 cannabis plants were found at the premises."

The Bolton News:

One nearby employee said: "There was a raid at 5pm yesterday (Wednesday).
"They arrested somebody.
"There was quite a big amount of cannabis plants removed from the premises.
"It was a shock to me.
"The shop had been closed for 12 months.
"We had been told they were waiting for planning permission to turn it into a post office."

Police have been cracking down on drug farms in recent weeks with a team undertaking a raid in Tonge Fold earlier this month finding Class A and B drugs.
