His Majesty King Charles is to visit Bolton this week to mark the 150th anniversary of the town hall.
The appearance on Friday, January 20, is the first from a monarch to the town in around 35 years.
A big crowd is anticipated on Victoria Square, where King Charles and the Queen Consort are set to meet leaders such as the leader of Bolton Council and the Mayor of Bolton before a reception inside the town hall.
The council released some advice to those who want to be in attendance.

People are advised to assemble behind the barriers on Victoria Square before lunchtime, although all of the times are still be confirmed.
And as space is limited, people are asked not to take large bags or luggage into the area.
In terms of parking, there is no parking around Le Mans Crescent on Friday, January 20, but a number of alternative car parks are in use.
The council is to release more advice ahead of the appearance.
