Residents opposed to wooden internet poles amd metal masts, are being urged to contact their MP.
IX Wireless are installing the 6G poles and masts across Bolton including areas in Smithills and Harwood, leaving residents unhappy.
In Harwood, people are being urged to contact MP Mark Logan in regards to the internet poles and masts being put up outside people’s homes without any consultation.
Resident, Christopher Parry from the Harwood Vale, came home one day to see IX Wireless workmen outside his house and boxed the area off.
He said: “I went out and saw it’s about 6ft what they’ve put up and I learnt that I have no choice in the matter.
“There will be a pole as well and it’s literally five metres from my window.
“It’s stressing out my wife so much when she just looks at it.
“This box could have been placed anywhere else with space, but they chose here.”
Since speaking to councillors in the area, Chris was told that he needed to get people to email Mr Logan regarding the concerns to put the issue on the forefront of government.
Chris said: “I am urging people to contact him because the more people that complain about it, the better chance that something can be done.
“I have been bumping into people and they tell me they don’t want it either.
“We don’t understand the need for it, why are they doing it? My internet is fast enough.”
Mr Logan has already been vocal about what he thinks are ‘eyesores’ in Bolton.
He said: “Frankly, they are a complete eyesore.
“I have written to IX Wireless demanding that they now listen and respond appropriately to Bolton residents’ concerns and opposition.
“Many of these masts are unsightly, and no one wants to be staring at one of these at any time of the day whilst in the comfort of our own living rooms.”

Cllr Roger Hayes has been looking into the issue for the residents of Smithills were most of the 6g poles have already gone up over Christmas.
He said: “It’s just extra clutter they’re making on the streets when they’d be better off underground.
“This company is making a profit and now they’re erecting the masts and most of the time you find they are free to do it without councils having any control.
"The council are doing their best to remove the clutter and the poles create so many problems including for blind people and are right outside of people’s houses.”
IX Wireless previously told The Bolton News: "So far, we've installed a new fibre network infrastructure in six Lancashire towns. The uptake we’ve seen clearly highlights the demand for a higher speed internet at an affordable price in these areas.
