Food hygiene inspectors have rated ten eateries in Bolton in the latest round of inspections.
Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety, inspectors have rated five eateries a five-out-of-five rating, two eateries a four-out-of-five rating, two eateries a three-out-of-five rating and one eatery a two-out-of-five rating.
Bank Top at Bank Top United Reform Church, Genting Casino, Caffe Pausa, The Poacher and Valentino’s were all awarded five-out-of-five ratings.
On the Food Standards Agency’s website, Bank Top at Bank Top United Reform Church, Ashworth Lane, was handed the rating after inspection on January 8.
In the inspection report, the eatery was rated ‘very good’ in all areas.
Genting Casino at Higher Bridge Street was rated a five after inspection on January 8.
In the inspection report it states the eatery is ‘good’ in all areas, looking at hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety.
Caffe Pausa at 16-19 Round Hill Way, was rated a five after inspection rated on January 7.
The inspection report states the hygienic food handling and cleanliness, and condition of facilities and building were both rated ‘very good’ whilst the management of food safety was rated ‘good’.
The Poacher at Poacher, 1-3 Scot Lane, Blackrod, Bolton was also rated a five on December 13.
The eateries hygienic food handling and management of food safety were both rated ‘very good’ whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building was rated ‘good’.
Valentino's at 288 Halliwell Road was rated a five on January 7.
The inspection report states all areas are ‘good’.
Two eateries have also been handed four-out-of-five ratings in recent inspections, this includes McDonald’s at 41 The Linkway, Horwich, Bolton which was rated on December 7 and Burger Express at 11 Harper Green Road, Farnworth, which was rated on December 9.
Both eateries were awarded generally satisfactory for cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and good for management of food safety whilst Burger Express was rated good for hygienic food handling and McDonald’s was rated very good.
Two eateries have also been handed three-out-of-five ratings in recent inspections, this includes Ewe Restaurant at 370 Chorley Road, Westhoughton, Bolton; rated on December 8 and Erbil Shawarma at 213 Halliwell Road, Bolton; rated on December 10.
In their inspection reports, both eateries were rated generally satisfactory in all areas.

And finally, one eatery has been handed a new two-out-of-five rating.
Hajis Pizza and Grill at 23 St Helens Road, Bolton was handed the rating after inspection on December 9.
In the inspection report it states improvement is necessary for the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building whilst the management of food safety is generally satisfactory.
