A Farnworth-based online florist is offering someone the opportunity to receive a year’s supply of flowers.
Direct2Florist is running the competition, the winner of which can decide whether they want their bouquet – worth £50 - sent to themselves or a loved one.
The family-owned business which launched in 2007 says it is aware that sending flowers regularly might be considered a luxury for many people during the cost-of-living crisis, so the winner can rest in the knowledge that their special occasions for the year will be taken care of.
Wendy Rea, expert florist and business manager at Direct2Florist, said: “Flowers have the ability to bring us so much joy - and so does sending and receiving something special.
“There are lots of mood-boosting benefits that come with treating ourselves, or someone else, especially if they’re unsuspecting.
“Having the ability to make another person's day makes us feel good in-turn, and that’s why we want to give someone the chance to be able to do this by winning a year’s supply of flowers worth £600.
“With the cost of living on the rise, buying bouquets of flowers regularly might be considered a luxury for lots of people right now, but we want more people to be able to tap into the gift of giving and receiving joy and spreading happiness ‘just because’.
“The winner will also be able to rest knowing their flowers for special occasions for the year are taken care of - such as birthdays and anniversaries.
“The power of flowers shouldn’t be underestimated, having these little slices of nature in our homes can help us feel more relaxed, connect with nature itself, brighten up our days and make us smile, so even if you want to treat yourself for the month - it’s on us.”
Anyone over the age of 18 residing in the UK can enter the competition, by filling out a form on the company’s website at www.direct2florist.co.uk/d2f/competitions/signup.
The competition is live now and will close at 5pm on Friday, February 10. The winner will be chosen and contacted on Saturday, February 11.
