Food hygiene inspectors have rated three eateries in Bolton recently.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety, inspectors have rated two eateries three out of five ratings and one a one out of five rating.

Abby's Cafe at New Bury Community Centre on Buckley Lane in Farnworth was awarded three stars after assessment on November 30.

The inspection report states the hygienic food handling is good while the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are geneerally satisfactory.

Burger King at Trinity Retail Park, Springfield, Bolton, was also given three stars on November 30.

In the report, inspectors stated the hygienic food handling was good while the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are generally satisfactory.

And Kohinoor Restaurant and Takeaway on Derby Street in Bolton was given just one star after being assessed on December 1, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

The inspection report states improvement is necessary for the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.

Whilst major improvement is necessary for the management of food safety.

It means that of Bolton's 453 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 249 (55 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
