A car stuck in mud for two days has been recovered but is due to get a deep clean before being returned to the owner.
The Toyota Corolla was spotted covered in mud at Barlow Park in Bolton.
It was stuck there for two days afater New Year’s Day as owner Kelly Maria and her partner Michael Coates tried to get it out.
But after a few unsuccessful attempts, recovery firm Hough Green Garage got the car out.
The car is now in need of a wash and clean to get the mud off before Kelly can get her car back.
She said: “I found out from one of the comments that it had been recovered from Hough’s recovery.
“I am currently still waiting to get it back so relying on lifts at the minute and had to get taxis.
“Funny thing is, I wasn’t in the car, it was my partner and daughter.
“Apparently there was some bikes there afterwards splashing mud all over it which made it worse.”
The car was being driven by Michael Coates at the time with Kelly’s daughter Jorja Kelly in the passenger seat as they went to get milk, but were distracted by a rainbow and wanted to find the end.
In doing so, the duo ended up near Barlow Park and had tried to avoid seagulls in the way when they veered off the road.
They landed in the grass and the more they tried to get the car out, the muddier it was getting.
People took pictures as they saw the car the next day while going through the park and some even said they had seen bikers getting the car dirtier as they revved their engines next to it.

Kelly saw the fun in the situation but is now left without a car since then and is having to rely on taxis to get around.
Michael and a friend even tried to use an old carpet to try and get it out but unfortunately the car was not for moving.
Several people posted about the car on social media with some initially thinking it had been stolen.
The car has attracted quite a lot of attention while being stuck as people wondered what had happened.
