AS the curtain comes down on another year, we want to shine the spotlight on top Bolton venues in our Pub of the Week feature.

This time we have visited a popular pub in Lostock to find out about the reasons for their success.

Give us some history about the pub:

Took over pub in May, put new food offering on in June and all homemade pub style food. We have Sky Sports, BT Sports and Amazon. Then there is a weekly quiz on Tuesday and weekly karaoke on Friday.

We also have weekly singers on a Sunday afternoon.

We are a huge part of the village / community.

Is food served? If so what’s on the menu?

Food is served from Tuesday to Friday between noon and 7pm.

Is there a beer garden?

Yes

Do you have any darts/snooker/pool teams?

Two pool teams

Most popular drink served is:

Birra Moretti, Carling and cask ales

Most memorable moment at the pub:

The first weekend when we had the Champions League final with giant screen in the beer garden

Do you have an entertainment line-up?

Next up is a solo singer on New Year’s Day then Elvis’s birthday on January 8, when we have an Elvis tribute by Marcus Hallows between 3-5pm
