Bolton Parkrun will go on tour on New Year’s Day with runners of the event invited complete a course in Sale instead.
The weekly event usually goes ahead at 9am on Leverhulme Park.
Runners complete the 5km course, which is run entirely by volunteers and involves two hikes up a large incline known by participants as “cruella de hill”.
As Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on Sunday this year, some parkruns have opted to go ahead on that day as well as on the Saturday.
But Bolton Parkrun will not be going ahead on New Year's Day.
Instead organisers and regular participants will head to Sale Water Park to complete the course there.
The 5km course is flatter that Bolton’s, and involves participants running alongside the water.
People who normally run the course in Leverhulme Park are invited to make the trip to Sale to complete the run there.
So far this year, 2,665 people have took part in the Bolton Parkrun, with 317 people volunteering to make the event possible each week.
