Applications have opened for the second round of the Green Spaces Fund for residents across Greater Manchester, including Bolton.
The £2.6m fund is open to all residents across the region, supporting community-led projects that increase the amount and quality of accessible, nature-rich green space in the city region, particularly in the areas where people need it most.
Green spaces have been viewed as vital in addressing the climate crisis and tackling the biodiversity emergency.
The Green Spaces Fund has already helped local community groups improve their green spaces, including in Bolton.
Applications are open until noon on Friday January 27, 2023.
Successful projects are expected to be announced in March 2023, with further rounds to be outlined later next year with exact timings.
All projects will need completing within 12 months, with final claims submitted by March 2024.
