A ‘pop-up nativity’ is being put on at Bolton Parish Church today (Christmas eve) with a special stable guest.
Children can go along and participate in the story of the first Christmas from 2pm until 3pm at the church.
Not only will there be the opportunity to contribute to the story, but they will also get to meet one of its characters in real life.
Cllr John Walsh said: “It’s called a pop-up nativity becasue we know the general story, but the children can help with the rest as we go along.
“Parents can come along with their children and have a break from their shopping for a peaceful hour or so.
“And there will be a real life donkey for the children to meet.”
