A man has died after being hit by car in Bolton on Friday.
The pedestrian was struck by the vehicle on Friday at around 12pm on Blackburn Road, near the junction with Crompton Way.
The section of road was sealed off following the incident with emergency services such as police and paramedics in attendance and a white tent was put in place.
No arrests have been reported.
On Saturday, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed a man died as a result of being hit in a collision.
A GMP spokesman said: “At around 12pm yesterday (Friday) GMP were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Blackburn Road in Bolton.
“Officers attended and a man has sadly passed away.”

A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called at 12.41pm to a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
“We sent various resources including an ambulance and an air ambulance."
Fire crews from Bolton North Fire Station said they were in attendance too.
Traffic was diverted up to Belmont Road and drivers were warned to keep away from the area following the incident.
A witness said: “It happened so quickly.
“It was ram packed but he collapsed.
“It was an elderly gentleman."
The eyewitness added that more needs to be done to tackle the problem of crashes happening on the road.
Another eyewitness added: “We got out the car to see what had happened and they were treating a man there.
“We hoped he would recover but we now know he’s since passed away. This is so sad.”
Following the tragedy, readers shared their condolences on social media.
