People travelling today, Saturday, have been warned about icy weather conditions around Greater Manchester.
Treacherous conditions are seeing cars struggling due to icy roads and everyone is urged to be extra vigilant as they drive around Bolton as well as other places in Greater Manchester.
Manchester Traffic Tweeted there was a covering of "snow" due to the ice, rain and sleet.
A statement read: “Freezing rain and sleet to lower levels but higher ground in the Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Tameside and High Peak areas seeing a covering of snow making for treacherous conditions.
“Vehicles struggling on the inclines of some roads and it's very icy.”
Another statement confirmed: “Don't be fooled by the rain, roads and pavements might look just wet, but some are lethal with ice, as we've just found out near Manchester City Centre.”
The Met Office has already issued a yellow weather warning for ice and snow in Bolton this weekend.
