A festive lunch was put on for veterans in Bolton.
The Bolton Guild of Help held the dinner at the Bridge Conference Centre in The Haulgh on Saturday, December 3.
The event, sponsored by the Tonge with the Haulgh Forum and The Bakewell Care Home, was attended by almost 100 local veterans and guests.
Veterans and guests ate a festive meal and were entertained by The Bolton Hoover Band, who performed military music and Christmas carols.
The lunch was also the first major opportunity for the veterans to come together to remember their former boss, Queen Elizabeth II.
Veterans also spent time thinking of troops now serving in the Baltic and on the Nordic nation’s frontiers with Russia in the Ukrainian war.
The Bolton Sea Cadets were also in attendance, providing ‘superb’ support to the Conference Centre staff.
