Assaulting emergency workers

A man has been given a suspended sentence and ordered to pay £200 after assaulting emergency workers in Bolton.

Tyler Codie Smith, 22 of Massey Street, Bury, admitted to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court that he had assaulted police and paramedics in Bolton on April 3 this year.

He also used threatening and insulting words to two officers.

Smith was given a total sentence of six months, suspended for 24 months and ordered to pay a total of £200.

Uninsured driver

A man was ordered to pay more than £500 after driving without insurance in Bolton.

Saif Imran Afzal, 22 of Salterton Drive, Bolton, admitted to Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court that he had driven on Park Road, Westhoughton without insurance on April 2 this year.

He was ordered to pay a total of £574.

Suspended sentence

A man was jailed after breaching a suspended sentence.

Philip Turner, 46 of no fixed abode, had been given a sentence of eight weeks, suspended for 12 months on May 25 this year after assaulting a woman in Bolton.

He was brought before Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court and admitted to breaching his suspended sentence conditions by failing to attend Salford Probation Office on October 18 and 27.

Magistrates dealt with Turner for his original offence and activated the sentence.

Driving

A woman was ordered to pay more than £800 after driving in Bolton while uninsured.

Maria Csurae, 26 of Moorland Avenue, Droylsden appeared before Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court after having driving on St Helens Road, Bolton while uninsured on March 29 this year.

She was proven guilty by single justice procedure.

Csurae was ordered to pay a total of £816.

Speeding

A man was fined after speeding in a Land Rover in Bolton.

Cengiz Karabulut, 31 of Spinners Way, Manchester, appeared before Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court after driving a Land Rover Sport on the A666 St Peters Way in Bolton at a speed of 57mph.

This was above the speed limit of 50mph and Karabulut was found guilty by single justice procedure.

He was ordered to pay a total of £344.

Bank card

A man was sent to prison for seven days for using a bank card that did not belong to him.

Coby Crompton, 19 of Varley Road, Bolton, admitted to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court that he had used the bank card at Deane Video Store on January 1 this year.

He was given a sentence of seven days.

Fined

A woman was fined after driving without insurance.

Flutura Abdullahi, 49 of Stanmore Driver, Bolton, admitted to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court that she had driven a Ford Fiesta on Bradford Road on November 17 last year while uninsured.

She was ordered to pay a total of £349.
