A model from Bolton who has worked with brands such as GUESS and Sephora has spoken about how she was scouted in her hometown.
Georgia Ball was working at Retreat in Chorley New Road when she was spotted by Boss Models three years ago.
The Bolton-born model was encouraged by a group of women to attend an interview with the modelling agency.
When she finally did, 26-year-old Georgia went from waitressing at Retreat to flying out to LA for Sephora, working with Avon, GUESS Jeans, Pour Moi Lingerie and Tessuti.
She said: “I absolutely loved working at Retreat, I met my best friends there.
“I was working a lunch shift and I remember I was actually late for work, so I had to rush to get ready, had no makeup on, thought I looked pretty awful to be honest.
“A table in another section with three women sat there kept looking at me, so I rushed over to see if they were ready to order.”
After a series of questions into Georgia’s background and a business card handed to her, Georgia eventually decided to attend an interview.
She said: “On the day I went in I wasn’t nervous at all because I didn’t think anything was going to come of it.
“I met the whole team and everyone was so lovely at the end of the day they started talking about a contract and I remember being like for what?
“I was so surprised but excited to see where this opportunity could take me.”
Georgia’s face is now on Avon brochures around the world and her face on a Sephora beauty campaign in LA.
She said: “Walking into Selfridges in Manchester recently and seeing my Natasha Denona beauty campaign in stores was crazy.
“Then seeing the campaign in Sephora in LA when I was there last week on holiday was a real pinch me moment.
“I was being sent pictures of myself on the magazines and bus stops in different countries which was crazy.”
After recently working in Paris, Georgia signed with Ford Models in New York, LA, Miami and Chicago.
