Give us some history about the pub:
We opened almost a year to the day, with the intention to bring something a bit different to Horwich, and where everyone is welcomed, including dogs and children. We are a small craft beer bar, with two casks and eight kegs, and three artisan ciders which we change on a weekly basis. We try to mix up the selection, with local, not so local and foreign beers and ciders and with drinks that the other pubs don’t sell. We also have craft gins, whisky, rum and vodka and a great selection of wines which also are changed on a regular basis. There is always a new cocktail of the week, tea and coffee and non-alcoholic drinks.
Is food served? If so what’s on the menu?
No food, but pies from Greeleys on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
Is there a beer garden?
Yes. A small beer yard
Do you have any darts/snooker/pool teams?
We have a monthly quiz night and a monthly book club
Most popular drink served is:
Steady Rolling Man by Deya
Most memorable moment at the pub:
Our first day of opening, thinking we were going straight into lockdown
Do you have an entertainment line-up?
No, but some of our guests are very entertaining
Have you faced any challenges within the industry?
We have had and continue to have, great support from our regulars, but yes, we are starting to feel the prices increase and some of our suppliers have gone out of business
The best thing about running a pub is...
Interaction with our lovely customers (and selling great beers)
The worst thing about running a pub is...
Cleaning up after shift
The perfect hangover cure is...
Bacon barm and a beer at B33R@33
