Food hygiene inspectors have rated two eateries in Bolton recently.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety, inspectors have rated one eatery a rating of three out of five and one eatery a rating of two out of five.

PIZZA4WORLD, at Flat 1, 43-45 Bradshawgate, Bolton was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 27.

On the Food Standards Agency website, the inspection report states the hygienic food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety were all generally satisfactory.

And Big Ladz Kitchen, at Unit A, 26-28 Bradshawgate, Bolton was also handed a new hygiene rating.

The takeaway was given a score of two on October 27.

In the inspection report, it states improvement is necessary for the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.

During the inspection the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building to enable good food hygiene is inspected, looking closely at the layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control.

The takeaway was then rated as generally satisfactory for the hygienic food handling and the management of food safety.

It means that of Bolton's 392 takeaways with ratings, 125 (32 per cent) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
