We've rounded up a number of Bolton cases heard by magistrates recently - read on to find out who's been in the dock.
Assault
A man was ordered to pay costs of more than £100 after an assault in Bolton.
Martin Sivak, 46, of Hopewell Close, admitted to Bolton Magistrates Court that he had committed the assault on February 25 this year.
He changed his plea to guilty having initially pleaded not guilty.
Sivak was ordered to pay a total of £107.
Drunk and disorderly
A man was given a conditional discharge after being drunk and disorderly in Bolton.
Levi Todd, 38, of Newby Road, Bolton, admitted to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court that he had been drunk and disorderly on August 16 this year.
He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85.
Driving while banned
A man was ordered to carry out unpaid work and do more than 100 hours of unpaid work after driving while banned.
David Houghton, 26, of Lindsay Street, Horwich, admitted to Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court that he had driven in Manchester while disqualified on October 14 this year.
He was also uninsured at the time.
Houghton was ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work, 10 rehabilitation activity requirement days and to pay £114.
Knife
A man was jailed for three months carrying a knife in a public place in Bolton and causing criminal damage.
Chai Chamberlain, 36, of Varley Road, admitted to Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court that he had a large meat cleaver with him on Back Cheapside Street in Bolton town centre on October 9 this year.
He also admitted to causing £50 worth of damage to a police vehicle.
Chamberlain was jailed for three months and ordered to pay £50 compensation.
Assault and criminal damage
A man was given a suspended sentence after committing assault and criminal damage.
Ryan Uddin Davies, 29, of Kilburn Road, Radcliffe, admitted to Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court that he caused around £150 worth of damage to a Volkswagen on High Street, Little Lever, on November 23 this year.
That same day he assaulted a woman by beating her and used threatening language.
Davies was given a sentence of eight weeks, suspended for 12 months and ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work with 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
He was also given a restraining order forbidding him from contacting his victim until November 27 next year.
Damage
A man was given a conditional discharge after a car window worth around £1000.
Joshua Michael Quigley, 30, of Minerva Road, admitted to Bolton Magistrates Court that he had damaged the rear window of one car causing £1000 worth of damage and the wing mirrors of another causing around £400 worth of damage both on December 18 last year.
He also damaged doors, carpets and fire extinguishers belonging to Mary Seacole House worth around £1950 that same day.
Quigley was given a conditional discharge of 12 months and ordered to pay a total of £772.
Estate agents
A man was ordered to pay £700 after damaging an estate agents’ window.
Connor Behan, 31, of Townfield Court, Northwich, admitted to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court that he had caused around £700 worth of damage to the window of Pearson Ferries in Bolton on July 31 this year.
That same day he had also obstructed a police officer.
Behan was ordered to pay £700 in compensation and was given an 18 month conditional discharge.
Assault
A man was ordered to pay more than £1,500 after as assault on Bolton.
David Andrew Holt, 37, of Fellbridge Close, Westhoughton, was found guilty at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court of assaulting a man by beating him in Westhoughton on August 29 last year.
He was ordered to pay a total of £1,516.
