Children staying at Royal Bolton Hospital have been brought some Christmas cheer thanks to a generous donation.
This comes after Bank Street-based Hill Johnson Wealth Management donated more than 60 advent calendars to the Minerva Street hospital’s children’s ward as the festive period gets into its swing.
The advent calendars will help the youngsters count down the days to Christmas while staying on the ward.
Hill Johnson Wealth Management head of operations Joanne Rushton said: “As a Bolton-based business, the Royal Bolton hospital is close to all of our hearts.”
She added: “As we approach Christmas and with children at the forefront of our minds, the team at Hill Johnstone Wealth Management wanted to add a little smile to the faces of those children not able to be at home during the festive period.”
The gifts have been gratefully received by children and staff alike and will help to make sure that despite staying over in hospital the youngsters will still be able to enjoy normal Christmas activities.
Bolton NHS Foundation Trust play co-ordinator Lydia Hill added: “It was wonderful that a local business has made this amazing donation to add a bit of Christmas magic for our young patients at this time of year.”
