Food hygiene inspectors have rated eight eateries in Bolton in the latest round of inspections.
Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety, inspectors have rated five eateries a four, two eateries a three and one eatery a one out of five rating.
The eateries with the highest score of four out of five for their food hygiene inspections include Bolton Catering at Unit 3 Pike Nook Workshops, High Street, Real Axe at Unit 12a Dunscar Business Park, Blackburn Road, The Pineapple Inn at 562 Blackburn Road, K2 Chippy at 166 Halliwell Road and Koon Yum at 121a High Street, Little Lever.
In their inspection reports, the Bolton Catering and Koon Yum were both rated good for hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building while both being rated generally satisfactory for the management of food safety.
Real Axe, The Pineapple Inn and K2 Chippy were all rated good for hygienic food handling and management of food safety but all rated generally satisfactory for cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.
Two eateries have also been handed new hygiene ratings of three out of five these include Little John at 184 Lever Street, Bolton; rated on October 26 and Afghan Cuisine "N" Grill at 181 Derby Street, Bolton; rated on October 26.
In their inspection reports, both eateries were handed generally satisfactory for all categories.
Finally, Stopes Tavern at 185 Stopes Road, Little Lever, Bolton was rated a one out of five on October 26.
In their inspection report it was stated major improvement was necessary for the hygienic food handling, improvement necessary for cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and generally satisfactory for management of food safety.
