A nursery in Great Lever has turn around its fortunes after its second visit from Ofsted this year.
Baby Bede Nursery on Morris Green Lane was told that it ‘requires improvement’ after inspectors visited in January.
It has now been rated ‘good’.
Inspector Angela Rowley found the children at Baby Bede were ready to learn.
“All children access environments that are planned effectively and promote their learning through play,” she added.
Inspector Rowley also noted how children, including those with special educational needs or disabilities are relaxed and are supported to behave well.
“This is because staff make good use of interventions that respond to individual children's needs as well as helping all children understand what adults expect,” she said.
“For example, children quickly learn when it is time to stop playing and tidy up.
“Children build close bonds with the nurturing staff who know them very well. These trusting relationships help all children to feel safe and fully engage in what the nursery has to offer.”
Rachael Billington, nursery manager, is proud that the inspectors noted that her staff are conscientious and want the best for the children in their care.
She said: “Since our last inspection we have worked hard to ensure our vision for the nursery was achieved. We have achieved this, and continually want to strive for the best to improve the future of our next generation.
“Children are developing a love of learning here at the setting.”
Rachael added that parents spoke highly about the setting to the inspector and praised the support their children receive.
“One parent describes how their child 'squeals with excitement' when they arrive at nursery.
“An online communication platform ensures that parents are continually kept up to date and feel fully involved in all aspects of their child's nursery life.
“The way that leaders and staff work in partnership with parents and other professionals is a particular strength.”
Baby Bede was catering for 95 children at the time it was inspected between the ages of zero and four.
