Talented children's illustrator is spreading some festive joy by giving shops in and around Bolton a Christmas makeover.
Lauren Beard from Daisy Hill is creating stunning winter wonderland window displays
Her recent work includes the chocolate shop at Haigh Hall, Ryders Farm in Bolton, and various pubs.
Lauren says she was excited to be drawing for places like Luisco Chocolate.
She has special themes for each season.
She said: “I have been doing this since Covid after I wanted a new challenge from being an illustrator.
“It was good to do something different in a creative way and I have noticed in Manchester that shop windows now have drawings on them.
“It’s always fun and when people see me do it they tell me they love it and they come and have a look.”
Lauren used to be a children’s book illustrator, landing major projects and working with Penguin on a number of books including, the Fairy-tale Hairdresser and the Princess Billy books.
She said: “I was getting a little bored, but I think in future I want to do both the window art and the books.
“It’s a lot of fun doing the art and people can see it so your work is always on show for every shop window you do.”
Shops can pick themes or ideas and Lauren will get to work using her acrylic pens and paints.
The artist is excited to be working in her hometown and hopes more shops will discover her and commission something of their own for the festive holidays.

She said: “When I originally started, I did a Christmas window as well and it went from there.
“There’s lot of cafes in Bolton too and it would be a good opportunity to work on the windows if I could.
“I think it’s a cute way of getting into the Christmas spirit because it makes people stop and smile.”
“I love drawing because it’s like telling a story through the pictures and at Haigh Hall I was doing it while people were passing by and they would stop.”
