ANYONE visiting Bolton at the moment may well have seen that the bulldozers and excavators have moved in on to the site of the former Moor Lane bus station close to the town centre.
The land is to be used to create more than 200 homes, shops and green spaces as part of a masterplan to reinvigorate the town centre.
Over the years, Bolton News photographers have often been down to Moor Lane and given that the site is now beginning it’s next chapter we thought it appropriate to take a look at some pictures which show the bus station’s more recent history.
It is a place which has a strong connection to many Boltonians whether it was through the traditional summer holidays, their way into the town centre for some shopping or somewhere that was part of the school run.
