A worried sister is appealing for information on her brother's whereabouts after he did not return home.
John Partington, 31, left his home where he lives with his grandma on Dearden Street in Little Lever at around 11am yesterday, November 3.
He was also spotted at approximately 5.40pm in Farnworth, crossing the railway footbridge between Bentley Street and Devon Street near to All Saints Primary School.
He described as being 6ft tall, with longish brown hair and a pale beard and had blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing dark pants or joggers and a long green parker coat with a fur hood.
His sister, Chantelle Spiby, has described John as "very friendly and approachable and a good-hearted man".
She added: "This is completely out of character for John.
"He doesn’t go out that much, but he does sometimes go out for walks. He likes scenic areas like the canal or Moses Gate, but he always comes home after a couple of hours. He’s never been gone this long.
She says that John has been grieving his dad who died last year.
John has connections in Farnworth and he used to live in Ramsbottom, although Chantelle does not believe it's likely that he would have returned there.
She has reported him missing the police.
Police have confirmed that they are aware and are conducting their investigations. Any sightings of John can be reported to by calling 101 and quoting incident number 340503-11-22 or call 999 if it is an emergency situation.
