A new restaurant and bar will officially be opening its doors in Westhoughton.
Taking over the former India Gate restaurant, Ewe Restaurant and Bar will feature a private dining room, garden room, open plan bar area, and even a baby grand piano.
Operations Manager Nathan Baxter said: “We are so excited to be opening this unique dining experience in the heart of rural Bolton.
“We’re proud to be using quality, local suppliers, and to be bringing something special to the community.
“The name Ewe was inspired by our countryside location and also our mission to offer a unique dining experience.
“Ewe definitely won’t be disappointed.”
This million-pound project can welcome 150 and provide a stage for live music for local musicians.
Ewe will serve up modern, British, and globally inspired dishes with a warm countryside welcome.
It also boasts a seasonally changing menu of classic and locally sourced signature dishes.
Executive Chef Maros Surovka says the smenu takes inspiration from the four elements, earth - signature dishes like Shepard’s pie and beef wellington -, water which is seafood, air which included chicken and duck-based dishes, and fire such as sizzling steaks from the grill.
This also includes favourites such pasta and pizza, as well as vegan and vegetarian options available.
Alongside an a-la-carte, afternoon tea and private dining menu, there will be variety of cocktails, with quirky names including Smoking Tractor, Wheelbarrow, In the Meadows, and Pink Ewe.
Nathan added: “We're very excited to be able to showcase our love for great food, impeccable service and our love for hospitality, which has taken such a hit over the last few years due to the Covid crisis.”
This impressive, new venue will be headed up by Operations Manager Nathan Baxter, who has previously worked for Neighbourhood and Victors, and general manager Remi Khodr, who previously opened The Black Friar.
Designed by Gary Macpherson, Ewe Restaurant and Bar is designed to have a rural, cosy feel, with wool textures and wood beams.
The venue is also set to open an outdoor terrace in 2023, with stunning views overlooking Rivington Pike, ideal for weddings.
The official opening will be on Friday November 18, 2022.
A Christmas Day menu will also be available soon.
The new bar and restaurant are located at 370 Chorley Rd, Westhoughton, Bolton BL5 3NB.
