A nursery in Breightmet has been declared ‘good’ by Ofsted after its first inspection since re-registering.
Daisy Chains Bolton first registered in 2020. It was formerlyjust named Daisy Chains.
The education watchdog inspected the provision last month are staff at the Bury Road nursery say they are “really proud” that they received the second-best rating possible.
Inspector Dawn Day noted that the children are confident and happy in the nursery.
She added: “They enter the nursery and greet staff with self-assurance, demonstrating the wonderfully secure relationships they have with them.
“Relationships between babies and staff are exquisite. They are extremely happy, content and cared for superbly.
“Staff engage with babies sensitively and lovingly and they reply with chuckles and smiles, developing their communication and language skills.”
The “family” atmosphere in the nursery was also highlighted.
She said: “Leaders strive for every family, staff member and child who attends the nursery to feel part of their nursery family and be valued.
“Staff and parents reiterate this, saying they do feel valued and belong to that extended family.
“This has a positive impact on children being happy and growing in confidence, and parents believe their children are making good progress in their communication skills.”
Other aspects that were picked out in the report was the children and babies’ independence and physical skills, as well as the staff’s abilities to pick up on speech and language delays early, and their encouragement to expand the children’s vocabulary by reading to them.
Owner at Daisy Chains Bolton Lyndsey Greensitt said: “We’re really proud of ourselves.
“It’s down to our wonderful staff for their hard work and commitment.
“As a staff group, we have worked to create a nurturing and safe environment which our children love.
“It was mentioned in the report that staff have a great relationship with the children and the parents. It’s a great feeling.
“All our parents seem very happy.
“We’re just really proud and we want to continue to work to the high standards we have set.”
