A popular pub in Little Lever is officially relaunching with a new chef at the helm.
Henighan’s Bar & Grill opened 14 years, and managers were keen to try something new.
New chef Quin Cramon makes all his food from scratch and has worked for some of the top restaurants in Manchester.
Managing director Nick Howcroft says that people can still expect the traditional “pub classics” but at restaurant quality but without the prices.
He added: “Quin will get to work for himself in our kitchen.
“He’s so passionate and just a really amazing chef, and he’s taking a risk in this economic climate.
“He’s going out on his own because he rents the kitchen from us where he can sell meals throughout the whole building, inside or outside.”
Nick explained how challenging it is to find the right person that has the right qualifications and who can come up with the products and dishes best for them.
Quin actually met Nick two years ago and as fate would have it, this opportunity has brought them both back together again.
He added: “He believes in himself.
“And it’s super exciting for him and us.
“We have some brilliant new menus and some really exciting dishes.
“They are typical club classics with a bit of a twist.
“There won’t be any ping and ding sounds coming from the microwave because everything is made fresh.”
After a successful tasting night with the chef’s own take on black pudding, Sticky Chicken Wings, and potato hash, Nick says he can’t wait for the official launch on Wednesday.
He said: “Everyone was raving about the meals and when you taste them you will be so impressed with the flavours.
“He trialled his version potato hash with poached egg on top and his black pudding bon bons.
“We can’t wait at Henighan’s until we launch with our new chef and equally as excited to be working with him.
“I’m sure we will be going places together.
“The main thing is that people have a good time and enjoy the food.”
The launch night is fully booked in the evening, but there are still slots available for the daytime.
The pub currently has a new children’s menu and will be launching their Christmas menu next week.
