A councillor has vowed to work with residents in Farnworth after on-street parking has continued to cause a nuisance for many in the area.
Cllr Sue Haworth says that Wildman Lane in particular has become worse in the last few months, which has affected Mount Pleasant Road and Redgate Way off Plodder Lane as a result.
Many residents in the area have speculated that this is because people are parking nearby to avoid the charges at an NHS site.
Cllr Haworth said: “On-street parking at Wildman Lane has got worse these last months.
“It more often affects Mount Pleasant Road and parking just that bit nearer Redgate Way off Plodder Lane.
“People say it's those using the NHS site in the day and the evening.
“With people watching every penny, residents believe it is due to the avoidance of any parking charges on the NHS site.”
Cllr Haworth has said that Wildman Lane is also a bus route and that the parking has caused difficulty for drivers getting around due to “excessive parking”.
It is not the first time that residents in the area have voiced concerns.
The Bolton News previously shared readers' opinions on a parking order, which would restrict parking in the area.

At the time some residents said the excessive parked vehicles were reportedly from owners of minibuses in the area, customers or staff visiting the nearby Royal Bolton Hospital, or drivers picking up or dropping off pupils at a local school.
At the same time, there is continued growth in vehicle ownership, with increasing pressure on the amount of on-street parking available.
Cllr Haworth has said that she will communicate with more residents at the lane and the surrounding area about the issue.
She added: “Please report if you have difficulties getting in and out of your drive.”
