These stunning pictures capturing a Kestrel swooping on a farm in Bolton were captured by Bolton News Camera Club member Keith Mills.
The keen photographer who enjoys focusing in on the beauty and wildness of nature, shot the picture while on Seddon Fold Farm in Lostock.
He told The Bolton News: “Kestrels tend to hang around farms, as they’re more likely to find mice and such.

“I was on Seddon Fold Farm, the farmer lets me go and take photos on his land. The thing was I was going to photograph some mushrooms.
“Out of nowhere this Kestrel came up – it’s not up long, only about five seconds.”
Keith, who is retired, is mostly interested in nature photography, be it birds, wildflowers or mushrooms.
He said: “I’m a novice to be honest, but it’s the best photo of a kestrel I’ve had.
“I can do a lot better, but it’s my best photo of a Kestrel so far in my short career as a photographer.”
