A nursery in Great Lever has been rated 'inadequate' overall by Ofsted .
Tiny Tots Nursery on Meadow Bank has recently received the grade, which has seen it downgraded from its previous 'good' inspection.
It was graded in four key areas during an inspection in September - the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management.
The first two categories were both rated good, but the last two were both labelled as inadequate
Inspector Natalie Myatt said: "Electronic devices with internet access and cameras are used in the setting by staff and children without monitoring.
"Managers and staff do not show an adequate understanding of the risk that this poses to children. This has an impact on children's safety and welfare.
"Cleaning products are kept in an area that children have unsupervised access to. Children can easily reach the hazardous substances. This has a further impact on children's health and safety."
The nursery did have some good features, however.
Inspector Myatt noted that children are happy, often asking for cuddles.
She added: "They are delight as staff join in their play.
"Staff are responsive to children's needs and ensure that they feel secure.
"Babies are encouraged to explore sensory materials as staff respond to their babbling.
"Children's behaviour is good. Children hold doors open for their friends, who then thank them.
"There is a culture of mutual respect in the setting."
The report also highlighted that staff encourage to develop their independence, and that "children well are prepared for school".
"At mealtimes, children learn to set the table and serve their own food," Inspector Myatt said. "Staff have high expectations of all children.
"They work with parents to give children any extra support they need to reach their potential.
"Children are excited to learn, and approach challenges with enthusiasm.
"Children experience a wide curriculum with a strong focus on communication."
Deputy Manager at Tiny Tots, Jessica Pugh, says that they do not wish to comment on the report because they "do not believe it is accurate".
The nursery are appealing the report, with Jessica adding: "We didn't think that they would be publishing the report while it was under appeal."
