A new exhibition will take adults right back to their childhood as they introduce the joys of Peter Rabbit to the next generation.

Bolton Library and Museum is joining in celebrations to mark the character's - created by Beatrix Potter - 120th birthday.

It is staging a interactive exhbition entitled  'The World of Peter Rabbit Storytime Trail'.

Families, friends and children can enjoy the sounds of nature whilst exploring the story of Peter Rabbit along the way with activities to take part dotted around the room.

There is a colouring station, activity areas and much more.

The exhibition has many Instagramable  pictures to take.

There is an area where visitors can get up close to nature and learn more about  squirrels, hedgehogs, rabbits, birds and so much more.The Bolton News: Peter RabbitPeter Rabbit (Image: Newsquest)

Located at the top of the mueseum next to the big bear, the trail is a short and sweet experience with a reading corner at the end of the room for children to sit and enjoy a book.

Open now each day from 9am to 5pm until November 27 and there is no need to book, it will be in the Temporary Gallery.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit  was first published by Frederick Warne & Co in 1902.

The World of Peter Rabbit Storytime Trail has been designed by the publishers to immerse visitors in the tales and world of Peter Rabbit.
