Emergency services attended a road traffic collision yesterday evening involving two vehicles - and people are now raising concerns about the area.
Police were called to Blackburn Road near to Asda at Astley Bridge yesterday evening after reports of a crash involving two vehicles on the busy junction.
At 7.10PM police and ambulance services attended an RTC at the junction with the road works.
According to GMP nobody was injured and no arrests were made.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 7:10PM last night (10 October 2022), Greater Manchester Police received reports of a two vehicle road traffic collision on Blackburn Road in Bolton.
"Officers and an ambulance attended the scene however no injuries were reported and no arrests were made."
One motorist commented that even with the police there, cars were still sneaking through when the lights turned red, blocking the middle of the road.
Another commented stating the area is not safe with the road works and they have seen several incidents over the past three months.
They said: "The lights are constantly failing during these road works.
"In fact it's been an absolute disgrace how long it's taking not to mention the sheer number of people who jump the lights when they do work.
"I've personally seen two accidents in the last 3/4 months plus 2 or 3 on social media."
