Since the offence, the vehicles have been recovered for forensics.
The man remains in custody for questioning.
Greater Manchester Police Bolton South officers are asking anyone with information that will help them to bring burglars and handlers of stolen goods to justice, is encouraged to contact them either via Live Chat function on https://orlo.uk/Bk8Zi or by calling 101.
This comes after warnings from police earlier this year regarding lock snap burglaries across the borough.
Police issued a warning asking residents to check if their doors are secure as snaplock burgularies are on the rise.
Officers say they are working hard to catch those responsible and are urging residents to ensure their house is not an easy target.
And officers are advising residents to upgrade to anti-snap or tamper locks to make sure homes are safe.
To help prevent break-ins, safe.co.uk, the security retailer, recommends buying a cylinder lock that has an Anti-Snap system.
This means that the lock includes a reinforced body with a fake snap line.
Burglars break this as it faces the outside of the door, however the actual mechanism will stay completely intact and the door will stay locked.
