A free outdoor cinema is coming to Bolton in time for Halloween.
The cinema will feature favourites from Ghostbusters, Hocus Pocus, Beetlejuice with family films like Hotel Transylvania, The Addams Family and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
The cinema is part of of the next Hulton Park Happenings events, set to take place from October 27 to 29, which follow on from the events over last spring and summer.
Hulton Happenings project manager Emma Green said: “We were delighted with the great turnout and support for our garden arty and we are very excited to be announcing another event at Hulton Park for the community to enjoy this autumn.
“Many of the people who came to Hulton Park have never had the opportunity to see the space before and it was great to see so many people and communities enjoying the space and activities.
“We are hosting a number of different events to engage local people and help understand the future potential of the Park to accommodate different events through our wider plans.
“The archaeological dig, garden party and now the cinema screenings will be followed by more community activities including site tours, sporting events and cultural celebrations which we’ll be unveiling more details about soon.”
Along with the selection of films on display, the Halloween event will also feature hot drinks, seasonal treats and street food.
But cinema goers can bring their own picnics and have been advised to bring along their own camping chairs, blankets and to wrap up warm.

The event has been planned by developers Peel L&P and comes as part of the company’s plan to turn the currently disused Hulton Park estate into a Ryder Cup standard luxury golf course and sporting venue, capable of hosting international events and tournaments.
The plans have proven to be controversial with many of the local residents and the developers hope that events like Hulton Park happenings will hope to illustrate their long term plans for the area.
An inquiry is set to be held later this week into plans for the golf course.
