The red carpet will be rolled out as Bolton International Film Festival returns this week.
Building on Bolton's reputation of being Hollywood of the North, the festival is now in its sixth year.
Star guest will be Joe Lycett, who will be appearing alongside broadcaster Shaun Keavney.
Over the years it has grown from a two-day even showing 50 films to five days, with 300 films being screened.
There will be workshops for those looking to enter the industry.
There will be a a VIP launch reception on Wednesday.
The BAFTA and BIFA accredited short film festival will also be showing 29 World premieres and 61 UK Premieres.
This year’s festival will show short films featuring household names such as Morgan Freeman, Kevin Bacon and Ruth Madeley, as well as a sold-out event with comedian Joe Lycett.
On Thursday, (Oct 6) from 8pm, will screen short films and music videos made by Joe, as well as a selection of films and clips that have inspired him over the years.
He will be joined by radio DJ Shaun Keaveny as they chat about filmmaking, music, classic adverts and comedy.
Festival Director Adrian Barber voiced his excitement about Joe's upcoming visit to the town.
He said: “To see someone like Joe Lycett reply to my email, he’s gone from selling out Wembley Stadium one week to coming to little old Bolton the next week.

“To see him go from there to Bolton, to our community-based film festival is just brilliant, amazing.”
There will be over 30 industry events this year, including a masterclass with two-time Academy Award winning visual effects supervisor Paul Franklin, where he will talk about his career in visual effects and animation, including his 10-year stint with Christopher Nolan.
BAFTA-winning editor Mick Audsley will also be sharing insights into the cutting room process, with over 30 film credits to his name.
Adrian continued: “We, Zoe (Rothwell, Festival Producer & Programmer) and myself, are the founders, just ordinary members of the public, but we both have backgrounds in filming and photography.
“We felt there was something we could do for Bolton, it has IRONMAN, the food festival and other things which are great, but we felt there could be more in terms of culture in Bolton.”

Bolton’s own Clarkson Twins will also be attending the festival to speak about their writing.
Representatives from Film 4, The Guardian, the BFI and BBC Writers Room will also be in attendance, as well as festival programmers from Tribeca, Raindance and London Short Film Festival, in the hope of offering support and guidance to those looking to forge and develop a career in the screen industries.
Adrian said: “We’ve got people flying in from all around the world, but we also want to reach that man on the next street.
“It’s very important to use free events, free things for people to engage with. Everything at the Museum and Library is free and everything at the Gallery at the Market Place is free.”
