Two luxury supercars were seized by police on Friday evening after their drivers were ‘annoying and endangering’ the public just behind a police station.
Both of the Lamborghini Huracáns were seized in the Tesco car park on Chester Road in Stretford on Friday evening after officers claimed that they had been driven in an anti-social manner near the police station on Talbot Road.
Officers have warned that they will not tolerate behaviour like this, even from luxury vehiclels.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Two Lamborghini Huracáns were seized this evening from Tesco Car Park, Stretford under Section 59 Police Reform Act due to the vehicles being used and driven in an anti-social manner.
“If you are going to use your rental supercar to annoy and endanger other members of the public right behind a police station then they will be taken away from you.
“The driver's will also now hold a S59 marker on them for 12 months and if found in similar circumstances will have their cars removed from them again.”
Anyone with any information or any concerns about similar kinds of crime or anti-social behaviour in their communities can call 101 or 999 in the event of an emergency.
