St John's CE Kearsley Primary School have received a welcome gift that will allow its children to continue to access outdoor education come rain or shine.
The school has received some all weather suits from Silverwood Forestry, which will ensure that they can access their on-site Forest School in any weather.
The school has been running the Forest School from the school field for the last four years.
It initially started for just the youngest children in Reception class, but for the last two years it has been expanded to ensure that all classes across the school get access to the resource.
They are taught skills such as bushcraft, whittling, den making, and building fires.
Headteacher Suzanne Howard said: "We find that providing this opportunity to learn about nature and bush craft skills really allows all of our children to shine and thrive but it's great to see some of our less confident children really coming into their own and taking on leadership roles within their groups."
