LEIGH RMI have signed their first-ever full-time players.
Jonathan Goulding, Richard Chetcuti and Josh Wilson have been awarded contracts despite the club being relegated to the Unibond Premier Division.
Goulding has played for the club since last October at either right back or in the centre of midfield and made 28 Blue Square North appearances last season.
Chetcuti came through the youth system and gave several encouraging displays last season.
Wilson, a 20-year-old defender or midfielder, made 21 appearances for Northwich Victoria last season.
RMI chairman Dominic Speakman said: "These players have been taken on for their commitment to both the club itself and to their own personal development aspirations. All three players have proved that they have what it takes to succeed at a higher level."
