A first ever public workout in Bolton saw both Abdul Khan and Alex Murphy in the ring in their hometown.
Abdul Khan, a cousin of Amir Khan, took part in the public workout hosted by promoter Kieran Farrell ahead of the Bolton boxing show on October 7.
Kieran, a former boxer from Manchester, has held public workouts across the North West before but it was a first for Bolton.
He said: “We’ve got the show on Friday October 7 and we’ve done stuff like this in different places, we’ve got rising stars like Abdul Khan, Aled Murphy, my brother and a really good card of former British champions.
"We went to the ends of the world really to make sure that we do as good as we can and give them a good promotion, what they deserve.”
Onlookers in the Market Place stopped to see the boxers in the ring as they worked out.
The young Abdul felt at home in Bolton as he took to the ring to throw some punches and while the 20-year-old has experienced a public workout in Manchester before, this one was special.
He said: “The public workout was amazing and it’s good to have my family and friends come out and support me and watch me train and it’s good to give back.
“I hope to do more of it, and it was something I was looking forward to and giving back to my people.
“This was different, there’s nothing better than your own hometown backing you.
“I can’t wait to fight, it’s going to be an amazing atmosphere and thank you to everyone that is buying tickets.”
Bolton’s Alex Murphy was also present and both boxers took part in pad work in the ring as well as exercises in front of a gathering crowd.
Alex said: “I’m at the start of my career so to get a big following at this stage is really good, so it’s just going to grow as I go on.

“People can expect fast hands and strong punching as well, and over the last few weeks I’ve been feeling strong so it should be a good fight.”
The Viscous Promotions show will be held at the UniBol Stadium in Bolton.
