Amir Khan is set to appear on a new all-star of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
The Bolton born boxer revealed to the world that he would be back in the jungle but this time in South Africa for a new version of the show.
Set to be filmed in 2023, the all-stars jungle show will see the likes of Amir and previous stars Gillian McKeith, Joe Swash and Phill Tufnell back on screen for the bushtucker trials.
Amir was famously on the show back in 2018 where he was known for his fear of spiders and the #strawberrygate incident, which saw him scoff down the winning treat instead of sharing with his fellow campmates.
Winners and losers of previous series will come together for another chance to become king or queen of the jungle or even to retain their crowns.
Amir finished seventh on the show and faced his fears of snakes and other creepy crawlies, with one particular snake causing nightmares for the champion boxer on the previous show.
He was a fab favourite on the show and at the time was resting with a hand injury and so decided to go on the show.
Since then, the boxer has had his famous fight with Kell Brook this year, where he suffered a crushing defeat, but the Olympic medallist is never deterred and walked away with his head held high.
Now in retirement, the boxer is looking for new challenges and can safely re-enter the jungle.
Among other celebs set to return are Myleene Klass, Carol Vorderman, Shaun Ryder, and Georgia Toffolo, as part of the cast, which is the biggest since the show began.
All 15 returning contestants have earned their places after becoming fan favourites during their respective series, though some for better reasons that others.
A show spokesman said: “We’ll announce our line up and plans for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! South Africa nearer its transmission in 2023.”
Filmed in South Africa, the series will air in 2023 with hosts Ant and Dec at the helm.
Not all of the rumoured celebrities have confirmed their participation in the series.
