SIX people have admitted their part in a massive cannabis growing operation which was smashed in raids across Bolton.
Ly Tran, aged 27, Tu Nguyen, aged 35, Anh Nguyen, aged 20, and Tai Lam, aged 33, all of Weaver Chase, Stoneclough, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to produce cannabis along with Huong Nguyen, aged 22, of no fixed address, at Bolton Crown Court yesterday.
Son Nguyen, aged 38, of no fixed address, had admitted his role at a hearing in February.
They will be sentenced on May 9. Charges against a 14-year-old boy from Bolton, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were dropped.
The Vietnamese nationals were arrested last November when police raided five homes in Bolton, one in Burnley and one in Keighley, West Yorkshire.
The five Bolton cannabis farms - defined as a building containing 10 or more plants - were in Farnworth, Heaton, Ladybridge, Over Hulton and Great Lever.
Police seized hundreds of plants, as well as cultivation equipment, chemicals and electrical items with a total estimated value of more than £500,000.
