A disappointed customer said he was told to "go elsewhere" by a staff member at a takeaway chain after requesting a replacement for a burnt pizza.
Rory Gordon visited the Domino's Westhoughton branch on Pavilion Square on Saturday after celebrating Bolton Wanderers' 1-0 win at home to Peterborough.
But what was meant to be an enjoyable night turned sour as the margherita stuffed crust pizza was presented "cold and burnt", he said.
Rory said: “The pizza was dry and disgusting. My girlfriend opened the box when I got in and she immediately was put off.
“I had walked there and back because I always go in to see the staff and prefer ordering and collecting in person.
“But it ruined the night and my girlfriend lost her appetite.”
The following day, Rory went back to the shop and asked for a replacement but he said he was told this was not possible.
Instead, he said he was offered a voucher for money off their next order, but not only did he not receive this, Rory explained he just wanted a new pizza.
He said: “I said I’m not even bothered about the money, I just want a new pizza, but the manager at the time said no, and then the bit that shocked me was that she said I could go elsewhere if I didn’t like it.
“She suggested Fireaway and Italiano.”
Rory vented his frustrations about the experience on social media to the pizza giant.
In an email seen by The Bolton News, Domino's apologised about the experience.
But Rory said he felt disrespected and didn’t understand why he could not just be given a new pizza.
He added: “I went to the shop twice and they hadn’t sent me the voucher.
“The pizza I wanted in the day was ruined so instead of making me wait ages for a voucher, why couldn’t I just get a new pizza?
“I was shocked that she had said that to me especially when I am a regular customer who goes there once a week.

“The usual manager is a credit to the shop, but I was not happy this time and it was a different person.”
Domino's has since apologised and offered Rory a free new pizza.
