A six-year-old girl from Harwood who drew a picture in memory of The Queen was delighted to see her drawing on the gates of Buckingham Palace.
Taliah Higginson, six, was over the moon after seeing her drawing of The Queen on the gates of Buckingham Palace after her dad, Niall Higginson cycled over an hour across London to deliver them to the palace.
Keeley Greenwood, Taliah’s mum spoke of how Taliah wanted to go to London after hearing about The Queen’s passing, but due to the distance it just wasn’t possible.
Taliah drew a picture of The Queen and also put a toy horse which Niall took down to London along with his bike so he could take them down and she could be a part of history.
Luckily, Niall works in London so after work he cycled over an hour through heavy crowds to place the picture and toy horse at the gates.
Keeley said: “He filmed little bits and then we video called him, and she was over the moon and so excited that her drawing is on the gates.
“She calls the palace a castle, she’s so excited because her picture and the horse for the Queen is at the castle.
“My partner was filming himself riding down saying ‘special delivery from Taliah to the Queen’.
“It was just really cute and we’re all just really excited and happy that he’d done it.”
